“For rising young actors Kai Laramie and Juniper Castillo, being cast in the buzzy biopic Andy Warhol Never Gets Old is the opportunity they’ve both been waiting for. They’re on the verge of breaking out, and maybe even falling in love. Soon, the movie is blowing up, and so are their lives—in exciting, but also terrifying, ways.”
The cover is by the brilliant Cassie Vu.
When is the book coming out?
Hollywood, Ending was published on the 22nd September, 2026 in the US and Canada by Dutton Books and in the UK by Puffin. John signed the first 85,000 copies of the US and Canadian edition. The signed copies have their own ISBN: 9780525556657. John also signed 5,000 copies for the UK along with bookplates for Australia and Germany!
Is the book available now?
It is! Find an inexhaustive list of where you can buy it on the left or at HollywoodEndingBook.com. You can also order Hollywood, Ending at your favorite local independent bookstore.
Where can I find more information about the book?
You can find the full press release on the blog and John has talked about the book on vlogbrothers.
Will John be going on tour for Hollywood, Ending?
Yes! He is on tour right now, in fact. Some events have sold out but tickets to most stops are available now at hollywoodendingbook.com.
Who is narrating the Hollywood, Ending audiobook?
The Hollywood, Ending audiobook is narrated by Julia Whelan and Zachary Chastain. John made a video announcing the narrators. Julia Whelan will be John’s conversation partner for the event in Los Angeles.
I live in Asia/Africa/Antarctica/Mexico-Central America/South America/Europe/Oceania, will my copy be signed?
We genuinely don’t think you can get one of the 85,000 signed copies without ordering to US or Canada, even if an e-commerce website is telling you that you can order the particular signed copy ISBN to your home. Past experience has shown us these preorders are often canceled last minute or swapped out for an unsigned copy.
One exception to this is the UK and Ireland, where you can order one of the 5,000 signed copies at Waterstones.
